First Large Language Model Unveiled!

Taiwan's Foxconn has launched its first large language model (LLM), "FoxBrain," to enhance manufacturing and supply chain management. Developed in approximately four weeks using 120 of Nvidia's H100 GPUs, FoxBrain is based on Meta's Llama 3.1 architecture and is optimized for traditional Chinese and Taiwanese language styles.

Initially designed for internal applications, FoxBrain's capabilities include data analysis, decision support, document collaboration, mathematics, reasoning, problem-solving, and code generation. Foxconn plans to collaborate with technology partners to expand the model's applications, share open-source information, and promote AI adoption in manufacturing and supply chain sectors.

Nvidia supported the model's training using its "Taipei-1" supercomputer and provided technical consultation. Further details about FoxBrain will be revealed at Nvidia's GTC developer conference.
