5 Game-Changing Electric Vehicles Set to Transform the Indian Market!


Maruti Suzuki e Vitara
Maruti Suzuki's first mass-produced electric SUV, the e Vitara, is set to launch in March 2025. Built on the Heartect-e platform, it offers two battery options—49 kWh and 61 kWh—with power outputs ranging from 106 kW to 135 kW. The e Vitara will be manufactured in Gujarat, with approximately 50% of its production designated for export to European and other global markets. 

Toyota Urban Cruiser EV
In collaboration with Suzuki, Toyota is reviving the Urban Cruiser as an electric crossover. The new model features battery options of 49 kWh or 61 kWh, with motors outputting 142 bhp and 172 bhp, respectively. Produced in India, the Urban Cruiser EV aims to compete with models like the Volvo EX40 and Peugeot e-3008, contributing to Toyota's emissions goals for 2025.

Tata Harrier.ev
Tata Motors is expanding its EV lineup with the Harrier.ev, an electric variant of its popular SUV. Showcased at the Auto Expo 2025, the Harrier.ev is expected to offer a blend of performance, range, and advanced features, catering to the growing demand for electric SUVs in India.

Hyundai Ioniq 5
Hyundai's Ioniq 5, already acclaimed globally, is entering the Indian market with high expectations. The Ioniq 5 offers advanced technology, impressive range, and fast-charging capabilities, positioning it as a strong contender in India's EV segment.

Mahindra BE 6
Mahindra & Mahindra is set to introduce the BE 6, an electric SUV that underscores the company's commitment to sustainable mobility. The BE 6 is anticipated to feature modern design elements, robust performance, and competitive range, appealing to eco-conscious consumers.
